PROVENANCE

The illustration is adapted from the clasped hands in Abraham Bosse's 17th-century etching Frieze of Ornament with Clasped Hands and Anchor. The source impression is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (57.581.6, The Elisha Whittelsey Collection, The Elisha Whittelsey Fund, 1957), via the Met's public-domain collection. It has been digitally adapted and rendered in sepia for this print. Poem © Pablo Camacho. Relic Nº 004 in the Relics series, Dawn collection.
